Common questions
How do I know a sale is from my link?
Your code is captured automatically when a student visits via your link, and it travels through to Stripe at checkout. We can prove every paid sale tied to your code.
What about students I refer in person without the link?
Only sales that came through your link count. Easiest way: put your QR code on a business card and hand it out at the end of each lesson.
Is there a minimum payout?
£5. If you earn less in a month it rolls over until you cross £5. You can also choose to donate your earnings — some instructors do this for road safety charities.
Do I need to declare this to HMRC?
Yes — referral income is taxable. We send a yearly statement you can give to your accountant. If you earn under £1,000 a year in casual income, the Trading Allowance may apply (check with your accountant).
